Das Kunst- und Klangkollektiv "Recursion" wurde 2019 von jungen Musikern und Klangkünstlern ins Leben gerufen mit dem Ziel, experimentelle Kunst und Musik im Westen des Ruhrgebiets zu etablieren.
Das Kollektiv konzeptioniert, organisiert und kuratiert interdisziplinäre Kunst- und Kulturveranstaltungen, Installationen und Konzerte, bei welchen stets ein individuelles, gesamtheitliches Konzept umgesetzt wird. Dieses spiegelt sich etwa in der Programmation und der räumlichen Gestaltung der jeweiligen Events wider. Das "Recursion"-Kollektiv arbeitete in der Vergangenheit mit namhaften Musiker*innen und Künstler*innen der frei improvisierenden und experimentellen Szene zusammen, zudem gab es diverse künstlerische Kooperationen u.a. mit dem Moers Festival, dem Schlosstheater Moers und vielen weiteren.
"Recursion" ist "Improviser in Residence" 2023 des Moers Festivals.


The art- and sound collective "Recursion" was founded in 2019 by young musicians and sound artists with the aim to establish experimental art and music in the western ruhr area.
The collective designs, organizes and curates interdisciplinary art and cultural events which are always wrapped into an individual and holistic concept. This is being reflected by the programmation and the spatial design of the respective events.
In the past the "Recusion" collective has worked together with several prestigious musicians and artists from the experimental scene and also several artistic cooperations took place e.g. with Moers Festival, Schlosstheater Moers and many more.
"Recursion" is the "Improviser in Residence" 2023 of the Moers Festival.
